Issue
During synchronization in Basecone, the following error message may occur:
"You do not have access to administration <name/code>. Failed: Open: Administration."
This error indicates that the user or the Basecone connection does not have sufficient permissions to access the specified administration in AccountView.
Cause
This synchronization error is typically caused by one of the following:
The user does not have access to the administration in AccountView.
The user can access the administration but does not have permission to create postings or transactions.
The user account used for the Basecone integration has insufficient rights.
The administration is not accessible within the accountview.net environment.
Check 1: Verify Access to the Administration in AccountView
First, confirm that the user has access to the administration within AccountView.
Steps
Open AccountView.
Open the administration mentioned in the error message.
Verify that:
The administration opens without errors.
The user is able to create or process transactions within the administration.
If the administration cannot be opened or transactions cannot be created, the user's permissions must be updated.
Check 2: Verify Access in the accountview.net Environment
The user must also have access to the administration in the accountview.net environment.
Important
This environment is often configured by a Visma AccountView partner or dealer.
Even if permissions are correctly configured in AccountView, missing permissions in accountview.net can still cause synchronization errors.
If necessary, contact your AccountView administrator or Visma partner to verify these settings.
Check 3: Verify User Permissions for the Administration
Check whether both the logged-in user and the user account used for the Basecone integration have sufficient permissions.
Steps
Open AccountView.
Navigate to File > Administrations.
Double-click the administration referenced in the error message.
Open the Users tab.
Verify that the user has access to the administration and the required permissions.
If applicable, also review the User Groups tab.
Repeat these checks for:
The currently logged-in AccountView user.
The user account used for the Basecone connection.
Note
A common cause of this error is that the technical or shared user account used for the integration has fewer permissions than the regular AccountView user.
Check 4: Review the AccountView Event Log
If the permissions appear to be configured correctly, review the AccountView Event Log.
Look for
Access denied messages.
Permission-related errors.
Errors when opening administrations.
Errors related to the Basecone integration user account.
The Event Log can provide detailed information about which user or permission setting is preventing the synchronization.
Resolution Summary
Verify the following:
✅ The user can open the administration in AccountView.
✅ The user can post transactions within the administration.
✅ The user has access to the administration in accountview.net.
✅ The Basecone integration user has sufficient permissions.
✅ User groups are configured correctly.
✅ The AccountView Event Log does not contain access or permission-related errors.
If all checks have been completed and the issue persists, contact your system administrator or your Visma AccountView partner for further investigation.
