Basecone automatically logs users out after 30 minutes of inactivity, which is an important security measure.
However, after the session expired, the screen remained visible as if the user was still logged in. This caused confusion: users entered data without realizing they had been logged out, and lost this data as soon as they performed an action.
Basecone has implemented an improved logout pop-up that alerts users when their session is about to expire due to inactivity. This improvement is intended to enhance the user experience.
What has already been implemented?
A pop-up notification now appears on most new screens before the session automatically expires. This functionality is implemented and live now!
This notification gives users the opportunity to extend their session and continue working without being logged out.
Important note
The rollout of this functionality is not yet complete. This means that
the pop-up does not currently appear on all screens.
Users may still be unexpectedly logged out without warning on some screens.
We are working to make this available on all screens in the near future. Until then, we recommend that you save your work regularly and remain alert to session expiration.
What does it mean?
Session expiration notification:
Are you still with us?
Your session is about to expire. You will be logged out in 4m 48s unless you confirm that you wish to continue working.
If you do not extend the session by clicking on "Continue working" you will be logged out and the popup "You have been logged out" is shown.
Warning after log out:
You have been logged out.
Your session has expired. To continue working, please log in.
After this it's possible to click on the login button in the popup to be navigated to the Login page.
