International Standard on Assurance Engagements (ISAE) 3402

The objective of an International Standard on Assurance Engagements (ISAE) 3402 assurance report is to provide assurance about the quality of controls associated with the services provided by the service organization. ISAE 3402 has two types of reports: type 1 design and existence of controls and type 2 effectiveness of the operation of controls over a certain period of time.
