The screen for uploading invoices, tagging invoices and assigning an authorizer before posting.

The Upload & Tag screen is the next screen that matches Basecone's most efficient working method. A screen with great ease of use because it connects to the other existing screens.

๐Ÿ“Œ Note: From now on, the Workload Matrix is the start screen. From the Workload Matrix you can get started in the correct screen by clicking on the number in the column;
โ€‹๐Ÿ“Œ Authorization before posting, is now only possible in the Authorisation screen;

๐Ÿ“Œ If you want to view the Archive, you can now access it via the left menu (the icon of a document box) or if you click on posted in the Workload matrix;

The benefits of the Upload & Tag screen

This screen is all about assigning invoices to the correct journal and/or assigning authorization before posting. See also:

  • ALT-Q to confirm the tag;

  • CTRL + SHIFT + click to make a selection;

  • SPACE + arrow up/down to make a selection;

  • Drag and drop across the page;

  • Clear action bar end better navigation;

  • Sort by all columns and change the order of the invoices;

  • Navigate to another administration via the company switcher (top right of the screen), or by going back to the workload matrix.

๐Ÿ“Œ This information is for users with the role of (SME) accountant.

๐Ÿ“Œ Tip: do you only process purchase invoices? Then activate the "Tag all documents as purchase [PNV]"-setting in the automation screen. You can read more about this setting in this article: Tag all documents as purchase by default.

โ€‹โ€‹You then use the Workload matrix to go to: documents to be authorized, documents to be booked, booked documents and to be authorized after booking.

How to get to the Upload & Tag screen

The Upload & Tag screen can be reached in two ways:

  • Via the Workload matrix, by clicking on the number below To tag

  • Via the menu, at the second icon from the top (the icon of a label)

Tagging documents

Select one or more documents. You can then choose INK (PNV) or VRK (SLS) at the bottom right. Click on the 3 dots for the tags CUST, BNK, KAS and MEMO (availability depends on the linked accounting system).

When selecting a document you can tap the 3 dots, to find other tags than purchase or sales.

Assign authorization and/or cost center and project

If you click on a tag, you will see the pop-up screen below. In this screen you can assign authorization (before booking) and possibly a project code and/or cost center.

Delete document, change document name, change company, merge and split

Select a document. You will then see the options light up at the bottom right of the action bar. Click on the action you want to perform.

The option "Split" will become clickable when selecting a document with at least 2 pages.

The option "Merge" will become clickable when selecting at least 2 documents.


๐Ÿš€ To speed up splitting and automate it as much as possible, Basecone now shows a recommendation! During splitting, the scissors will already be selected (blue), is this correct? Then you can choose to split with only one click, if not, you can still adjust it manually.

โ€‹๐Ÿ“Œ Another choice is to activate, per company, automatic tagging based on the matching. Go to Settings > Automation > Automatic tagging. Don't forget to click save changes.
