Before we start a migration, the company needs to be moved first in the accounting system, hereafter we can migrate the company in Basecone.

In this article you will read on different types of migrations:

  1. Move a company to another Basecone environment

  2. Change the companycode of a company in Basecone

  3. Link a company to another accounting system in the same Basecone environment

  4. Move a company to another Basecone environment and change the companycode

  5. Link a company to another accounting system and change the companycode in the same Basecone environment

1. Move a company to another Basecone environment

We can help you move a company in Basecone to another Basecone environment, this means that the office code will also change. This usually happens when you change from an accountant to another accountant who also uses Basecone.

If a company is moved to another office environment in Basecone, then the company code will often change as well.

See this article for more information: Move company in Basecone to another Basecone environment

2. Change the company code of a company in Basecone

When a company code is changed in the accounting system, this will also need to be changed in Basecone. If this is not changed, then the synchronisation between Basecone and the accounting system will remain disconnected. Unfortunately you are not able to change a company code in Basecone, only we can help change this for you.

You can find the current company code in Basecone under the company settings.

If you are not sure if the company code will change, you can compare the company code that is visible in Basecone against the company code in the accounting system.

See this article for more information: The company code of a company is changed

3. Link a company to another accounting system in the same Basecone environment

We can link a company to another accounting system if it is within the same accounting system (Twinfield, Exact Online, Boekhoudgemak & Multivers, AccountView) and does not change from one accounting system to another. For example, it is not possible to move a company from Exact Online to Twinfield. However, it is possible to link a company if it is in organisation A to organisation B in Twinfield. In other words, it needs to stay within the same accounting system.

With this migration, the company will remain in the same Basecone environment.

See this article for more information: Link a company to another accounting system

4. Move a company to another Basecone environment and change of the company code

This is a migration combination between migration 1 and 2. The company will be moved to another Basecone environment, and then we can adjust the company code.

5. Link a company to another accounting system and change the company code in the same Basecone environment

This is a migration combination between migration 2 and 3. The company remains in the same Basecone environment, but is linked to another accounting system. Hereafter, we can change the company code.
